COSMETIC DENTISTRY

CEREC is a 3D imaging, design and manufacturing system used to design and fabricate crowns in one visit.
Instead of the weeks-long process of taking impressions and sending them to a lab to fabricate your crown, Dr. Marcus can place a permanent crown in the same visit, no temporaries needed. He can also use the CEREC system to design and create veneers, inlays and onlays. Inlays and onlays are also known as “partial crowns” and cover a smaller portion of the tooth than a standard crown.

Next, Dr. Marcus uses the CEREC 3D design software to create a custom crown based on the digital scan. The design is tailored to fit seamlessly with the adjacent teeth.

The finalized digital design is sent to our in-office milling machine that carves the restoration from a solid ceramic block. This process takes 8–10 minutes and produces a strong, natural-looking crown, inlay or veneer, ready for placement in the same day.

Above you can see the crowns we provided for a patient. CEREC crowns are beautiful and strong, and as we can do everything in-office, we can make sure the shape, look and fit of your crown is exactly right.

The entire Marcus Dental staff is wonderful. As someone who has traditionally had fear of any sort of dental work, coming to see Dr. Marcus has totally changed my experience. I feel so comfortable, so well taken care of and have no fear coming in this office.
“Dr. Marcus is so friendly, professional and at the same time makes you feel like part of the family. The staff are so flexible with scheduling and always make time to listen and take all concerns seriously.
