Meet the Doctor

Meet Dr. Marcus, DDS
Dr. Michael Marcus has practiced dentistry in downtown Chicago for 38 years. He stays up to date on the latest advances in dentistry. When he’s not in the office caring for patients, he is attending seminars or workshops on the latest technology, techniques, and dental equipment. He understands that the more he learns, the more he can help his patients.
Dentistry runs in Dr. Marcus’s family. His father, a much-loved dentist, mentored him and opened our Chicago Loop practice in 1968.
In 2022, Newsweek named him one of the top 200 dentists in the United States.
Nothing is more rewarding to Dr. Marcus than restoring his patients’ oral health, function and their confidence to smile again. Many of his patients come to him after years away from the dentist and he makes a point of helping anxious patients feel at ease for the first visit. He has equipped our practice with the latest, proven technology to provide the most comprehensive care possible for every patient.
Dr. Marcus graduated in 1987 from Loyola University School of Dentistry. He has stayed on the cutting edge of dentistry by completing extensive advanced training at prestigious institutes and under leaders in the dental field.
Dr. Marcus has trained with leading experts in dentistry to stay at the forefront of advanced techniques and treatments. Under their mentorship, he has completed extensive training in:
- Modern dental implant surgical and treatment protocols
- Stabili-Teeth® protocol, training directly under its inventor, Dr. Carl Medgaus.
- Sleep medicine
- TMJ disorder treatment
- Advanced orthodontic techniques
- Dental ceramic arts
- American Dental Association
- Illinois State Dental Society
- Chicago Dental Society
- American Academy of Craniofacial Pain

“Dr. Michael completely redid my teeth with caps and bridges, making me healthier and happier and better looking! He’s an artist as well as a scientist, an extremely rare combination in a dentist.
“His knowledge of physiology generally is like a physician’s. I’m happy to be his patient! And the size of his office--it feels homey and welcoming. Now my teeth and gums are in great condition and my smile looks good.”
